“ My go to place for beans. One bag of original espresso and one bag of Guatemalan french roast. Can't go wrong with an ice latte or ice matcha while you are there. This place is always packed with a line - if you need beans only, make sure you just go right! The highlight though, I must say, is dealing with Charlie, the owner. Simply the best. :) ”
“ I've heard many great things about Coffee Exchange so I couldn't wait to try it for myself. Once I walked in, the smell of coffee immediately hits you and it smells so good. Next to the order counter, there are different types of coffee beans and merchandise sold. I saw Chai Spiced Cider on the menu and inquired if the staff member can provide a description. He said it is apple cider with spices - ginger, cinnamon, cloves, cardamom pods, peppercorns, and star anise. I do like apple cider and chai tea so I thought I would give it a try. WOW. I absolutely DO NOT regret my decision. The Chai Spiced Cider was DELICIOUS. It was fall in a cup. I got it iced, but it can be hot too. The next day, I went back to get a London Fog. This drink was good, but wasn't as good as the Chai Spiced Cider. The Lordon Fog tasted too watery and not enough milk and vanilla syrup. I was disappointed since I had such a great drink the day before. I'll definitely be back at the Coffee Exchange for the Chai Spiced Cider. There is a lot of table seating, but many of the tables were occupied when I went in about 3:00pm. The next day I went in at 1:30pm and there were a few tables available. ”

Great ambiance, but definitely very busy with many people working on laptops. 4/5 Caramel Latte -- sustainably sourced house roasted beans, personally I expected a bit more roasty notes from the espresso. There was also many prepackaged syrups along the wall, and wished they had homemade syrups. ”

“ This place is located in an old home along the downtown street corner-ish. The outdoor seating area is on the porch and is expansive. Inside the place is bustling with activity and eclectic decor. The service was prompt. I ordered a large iced macchiato. It was good. ”

“ What a cute little coffee shop!! We are on vacation, but if you had a place like this to get your coffee every morning, I don't know how you could be in a bad mood. The staff was so cheerful and friendly. They managed to kind of chat with all the customers coming in (and there was a short line), but they kept it moving and made the drinks quickly. There's ample outdoor and indoor seating as well and their prices are very reasonable. Loved it! ”

In a seemingly historic Victorian building, this coffee roaster is bringing organic, fair trade, and sustainably sourced coffee to Providence. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The ambiance is comfy, cozy - exactly what you'd want from a coffee shop. There is a parking lot behind the building that provides off street parking, and there is limited seating indoors because so many people love to come here and sit and stay. So be ready to take it to go! ”
“ Coffee exchange is hands down my favorite coffee shop in Rhode Island, potentially ever. I'm always a sucker for a good mocha, and I'm sensitive to caffeine so decaf espresso is usually a must for me! A lot of other decaf espresso drinks that I've tried end up compromising on the flavor, but not coffee exchange. It is delicious, consistent, fast, and so aromatic every time. The staff are always friendly, and there are two levels to the coffee shop filled with small tables that lend itself to the perfect place to meet up with a friend, read a book, or study. It is truly a gem of Providence, and I always miss it whenever I'm out of town! ”
